Commercial Fishing Shrimp catch-2 |

One of the reasons I like commercial fishing is the way the catches are unloaded and packed. It's all done by hand! Just like it has been done for the last several hundred years! The shrimp are put into the baskets, hoisted up out of the hold, slid down the boards, poured into containers with ice and packed and delivered to market. A lot of the seafood from this area is shipped north to Fulton Fish Market in New York. Some of the catch is sorted by size.
