Cindy Archbell Biography

 

 

My name is Cindy Archbell.  I moved to North Carolina in 1972 to attend college.  I graduated from High Point College in 1976 with a BS in Biology.  I lived in Durham. NC for a short time and moved to the Outer Banks in 1984.  I lived in Jacksonville, NC for several years.

I returned to school in the fall of 2006.  I graduated in December of 2008.  I passed my boards and now I am a COTA/L.  I work in the rehabilitation field of Occupational Therapy. I work in a SNF (nursing home) in Culpeper VA.  I am very active in my church.  I am the Missions chair for 2010 and am training to be a Stephen Minister.

 I love taking pictures!  I have taken pictures all of my life.  Only recently have I started shooting digitally.  I enjoy photographing God's greatest creations!

My photographic interests are the commercial fisheries, wildlife, coastal scenes and landscapes. You may see some of my photography here  http://www.vikingvillage.net/index.htm.  Viking Village is located in Barnegat Light, NJ.

I have two children.   My oldest  is  twenty-seven years old.  He is a Staff Sgt. in the Marine Corp.  John, my youngest is twenty three years old and he is a tattoo artist.  I have three grandsons Seth, Kaedin and Gunner.  I have one cat and his name is Bob.

I studied Shorin Chishin Ryu Heiho eleven years and I am a third degree black belt.  It is a traditional Japanese form of Karate (open or empty hand).  I trained at the Bushin Kan Dojo in Kitty Hawk, NC.   In addition to my karate, I enjoy running, shelling, reading and walking on the beach.
