Cindy Archbell Biography

My name is Cindy Archbell.  I moved to North Carolina in 1972 to attend college.  I graduated from High Point College in 1976 with a BS in Biology.  I lived in Durham. NC for a short time and moved to the Outer Banks in 1984.  I recently moved to Jacksonville, NC. 

I returned to school in the fall of 2006.  I am studying to be an Occupational Therapy Assistant.  I graduate in December of 2008.  I might stay in Jacksonville or might settle somewhere else.  Where ever it will be, I will find great things to photograph!

 I love taking pictures!  I have taken pictures all of my life.  Only recently have I started shooting digitally.  Coastal North Carolina is a beautiful place to photograph!  The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous over the ocean and the sound.    There's lots of color, life and energy here!   I hope you can see some this in each of my photos.

I have two children.   My oldest  is  twenty-five years old.  He is a Sgt. in the Marine Corp.  John, my youngest is twenty one years old.  I have two grandsons Seth and Kaedin.  I have one cat and his name is Bob.

I have been studying Shorin Chishin Ryu Heiho for the last eleven years and I am a third degree black belt.  It is a traditional Japanese form of Karate (open or empty hand).  I trained at the Bushin Kan Dojo in Kitty Hawk, NC.   In addition to my karate, I enjoy running and walking on the beach.
