The New River &

 Jacksonville, NC

This past summer I had the opportunity to explore the New River with someone who loves being on the river.  I too appreciate and enjoy its beauty and serenity.  There is nothing like being out on the water underneath a Carolina blue sky with clouds.   It is really beautiful in a quiet sort of way..... Recently, I saw a sign for the New River near the town of Beulaville, it is just a creek.  I suspect that is the beginning of the river. Hopefully,  I can find it again so I can explore it.

Alligators are in Jacksonville!  They can be found in the New River.  Recently one was spotted downtown near the USO between the bridges!  I found one recently  but not in the New River.

The New river is 40 miles long and is between two and five miles in width.

The other photos are taken around town.  I will add new photos as I continue to explore this beautiful town.
